I have already purchased a domain from godaddy and I have got at less price compare to other sites and I have some time the cost of the hosting is little heavy in this site but it is worth and the privacy is important and I have webmail to from this site and I am satisfied with their service and I have I month free trial of hosting and I have good opinion about godaddy.com this the best to build a professional website with less investment in my opinion.

On 9/20/17, I searched for a domain name through ICANN WHOIS; I found out that the ownership of the domain had expired in Mid-July. At that time, I contacted GoDaddy.com and the representative advised me to put a “back order” on the domain, that it would take 7 days to obtain ownership, he stated that because no action had been taken since July I would automatically be the next in line as I had the back order. 7 days later I contacted GoDaddy.com to follow up on the status of the order, they stated that It would take up to 20 days for the process to be completed, this representative also assured me that it seems that previous ownership was being deleted and very likely I would become the next owner, which raised concern as I was previously assured that I would be the owner.

He stated that there was a chance for the domain going into auction, which I also questioned, as no action had been taken on it since mid-July and I paid the backorder fee to be the next in line. He stated that that wasn’t up to them but rather to the registrar, this representative attempted to sell me different domains in the meantime. On 10/4/17 I contacted GoDaddy.com again, and I spoke to a different representative who stated that the domain was given to another company. I find it absolutely bizarre that I paid a fee to have a domain released and transfer to my name as I was explained by GoDaddy.com initially, then they sell the domain to another company. Now the domain is for sale at hugedomains.com for a large sum.

I absolutely feel that there was some kind of scam or internal arrangement between GoDaddy.com and Dropcatch.com which was the company who purchase the domain; now is in the hands of hugedomains.com. I did not even have a chance to place a bid on the auction if there was any auction as they claimed. From what I was able to research, it seems that the domain was just transferred to the other company. I trusted GoDaddy.com on a business deal that actually has affected the launching of my new store. I find that companies such as GoDaddy.com are abusing small businesses and possibly taking advantage of the lack of knowledge some of the business owners may have.

If domains expire they pass is on to domains by proxy. Domains by proxy copies the sites content and takes the domain and content. They do not respond to inquiries and when you ask godaddy as to what their affiliation with domains by proxy is they do not respond.

Their customer support over phone is helpful although one may need to wait well over 10 minutes before getting access to an agent. They had earlier no chat support but now providing with a link sometimes accessible and sometimes hidden! Their renewal prices are way too much compared to new buy offer. It is strange they penalize their loyal existing customers! When it comes to upload time and performance they are excellent.

Godaddy.com used to be my ultimate choice for purchasing domain. I have used its services so many times. I was quite happy with the experience. I have last purchased a domain from them 3 days back for my personal portal. But, I am now considering to purchase domain from other providers. I have purchased both dot com, dot in domain from them and rate were around Rs. 500-600 for dot com domain.

Next, they have come up with an offer to book domain for Ra. 120 and which I used too. The process of domain setting, forwarding, integration with hosting are seamless even now. But, the interface is now getting really bad. I have not found the offer of getting Rs. 120 domain now, instead they are now providing domain for Rs. 199. But, if you want to purchase a dot com domain, they are giving you 3 options as add on and the they are not not giving skip option( No, thanks) to the 2nd option, so even if you are getting a domain for Rs.199 automatically some amounts are added to the bills and you are landed up paying the extra amount, even if you are not in need of any extra offer or hosting option.

New people find it quite confusing to deal with them while purchasing a domain as they have made the page flooded with offers and people get scared to see the ultimate bill.

And, I have abandoned the idea to purchase any domain from them as they are not allowing me to skip all the options given.

I always expect a nice, clean buying interface and not at all interested to check their commercial options.

So, I guess my last purchase with Godaddy happened 3 days back. No more dealing with Godaddy.

Everytime i call the customer service, they give me the same suggestion to fix the issue and asks me to call back if not fixed. I do that and then it is not fixed.
Spent about 4 hours on the phone with 5 different people who give me the same solution. I explain it's done but they just don't listen. They say "try this if not call us back".
This just seems to happen everytime. The worst part is for not able to send emails, they blame the receivers domains which are @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @outlook.com and the tech support people, csr claim that godaddy cannot do anything

Auto-renewal for ten years without agreement.

My domains have auto-renewed on a 2-year basis for many years. This is the renewal period entered in my account details. I just got a call from my card's fraud department over an attempted multi-domain renewal transaction for TEN years. Fortunately they refused the payment. Beware! Needless to say I have cancelled auto-renewal and will be moving all my domains elsewhere.
